The second month has passed since Gemnode has started. Welcome to September!
Last month’s focus was all about security and performance. The site was being overwhelmed by bots registering accounts, creating sites and groups, and then spamming them with their links. But the good news is we think we got the handle on the situation.
- The forms are now protected by Google’s captcha.
- We installed the Wordfence security plugin. Giving us a firewall and malware scanner.
- Then we integrated to the Cloudflare network. Which not only provides security but caching speed boost as well.
