To deal with all of the spam account registrations we have installed Wordfence and ReCaptcha. Wordfence is a popular WordPress security plugin that provides a firewall and tools for scanning for malicious code or malware. ReCaptcha is Google’s solution to stop bots from abusing our registration, login, and contact web forms. Most sites use this so you should be familiar with clicking the “I am not a robot” check box before logging in.
We have deleted all of the spam accounts that are just placing links in their profiles without contributing to the community. If you see any spamming activity or are having issues logging into Gemnode, please contact us and let us know.
